             Mosaic Patio Table

The current owner found this patio set beside the road and had to stop to rescue it.  This set started it's second life as a simply metal frame with flaking paint. The frame was sanded and spray painted a moss green. Plywood was cut to make the table top and the seats for the five chairs.  The table and chair seats were then painted a soft yellow and trimmed with a sage green one inch border. Next, the grapevine design was painted on. The final painting step was painting the "mosaic ". Five coats of waterproof sealant were applied to protect the set from the elements.

                       Game Table

This folding game table had sentimental value to the owner. She played on it as a child and "inherited" it when she was in college. Over the years the table became shabby from it's many uses and storage on an out side porch. While packing to move, she came across the table and was saddened by it's condition. The table was basically sturdy. The original design was transferred on to tracing paper. The design was updated and the original colors changed to match the owners current decor. The base and legs of the table were painted to compliment the modernised colors.

The cabinet is seven feet tall and three feet wide.  The inside is white enamel. The outside is sea foam green, the panels and trim are creamy white.  The thistle is hand painted on the inside and the outside of both bottom doors.

Sorry, this cabinet has been sold.

 Moroccan Inspired Border

A plain brown wall was spiced up with a hand painted border along the length of the wall in this tiny bedroom. The border is 10 inches wide including a one inch dark brown "frame".  The inside of the border was painted yellow then treated with an antique glaze. The gray toned blue design was painted on freehand. The doors were painted brown and the design was repeated vertically on the folding doors.

                  Reverse Painted Window

The  reclaimed window was painted in reverse, with the details painted in first and the background  painted in successive steps from the front to back, to be viewed from the front.  Reverse painting is believed to have originated in China and made it's way to the United States, where it was used to create the face on clocks, during the the early to mid 1800's. This whimsical scene gives the illusion of looking through a window into the garden and beyond to the neighbors farm. Pears create a halo for the sunfloweres that appear to peek into the window.

Canvas Patio Tablecloth

The bold design was inspired by the homeowners summer dishes. The tablecloth is a three foot round canvas, painted in acrylic and sealed with polyurethane for an easy care splash of color on the deck. Canvas table cloths can be designed with an opening so the umbrellas  can be easily removed.  Table covers are custom made to insure a proper fit for your table.
