Evening Out

The women in this mural are part of a series of women named The Suger Ladies. In this mural mirror images of the design have been enlarged to almost three feet tall.  They were painted against a deep blue background dotted with the moon and  stars add to the feeling of evening.

Castle

A young boys room became a fantasy play land when the castle was wrapped around the walls and ceiling of his room. The wood nymph made her presence known as the tree was being painted. While she was not part of the original design she is a happy occurance that enhances the sense of magic. The castle was created with acrylic paint and measures 8 feet tall by 15 feet long and encompases two walls.

Roman Warriors

This mural was painted for school aged child who is fascinated by Roman history. The mural was done in acrylic paint and remeasures 8 feet high and 14 feet long. The flag bearer watches the soldiers march into the coliseum as the chariot driver leaves the stable. The trees in the foreground were modeled after pine trees of Rome.

Tuscany

The simple garden shed was cosmetically "remodeled" with architectural detail that suggests the Southern Italian countryside.




A garden shed has been tranformed into a Tuscan style building  complete with an everlasting garden. The shed was glazed and a a brick arch way enlarged the door. The step is and gravel walkway that meanders through the garden add depth. The windows were trimmed with faux shutters. This charming transition was created with acryic paints. The dog is real.

Custom Bedroom Treatment

The colors in this bedroom were custom mixed to match the bedding. The cream on the upper half of the walls was brought 6 inches onto the ceiling to visually create a coffered ceiling. Inside the border the ceiling was painted a slightly darker shade of sea foam green than the lower half of the walls. To add interest to the ceiling, a two foot medalion was centered over the bed. The window treatment was designed to soften the room without blocking the pond front view from this secluded home. Graceful curved  "wrought iron" anchors the bamboo and vine. Red flowers pick up the detail in the bedding and add a pop of color to draw the eye to the design.

Faux Arched Window

This tiny windowless bathroom with a vaulted ceiling was transformed into a luxurious  retreat by painting a 5 foot arched window  on the tall wall beside the tub. The "view "   was inspired by a photo of Ireland taken by the homeowners while vacationing there.

 Forever Fall

A favorite season,memorialized on the hutch over the desk. The mural is 2 feet by 31/4 feet tall. A panoramic scene is depicted including the owners contemporary home and the  children's tree  house.
